I just bought a candle making kit and was wondering where the cheapest place to buy supplies will be when I need more. It seems that scent is about $2.00 $4.00 per ounce. Soy wax is $3.00 lb. If anyone knows where to get this stuff cheaper please let me know. I would also be willing to use paraffin or other kinds of wax if it is cheaper. Buying in bulk is an option but only if the savings are substantial.
Candle Making Problems?
I made candles today by melting down pre made candles. I poured them into their holders shot glasses, tea cups, ect . Most of the candle tops were bumpy and not smooth. A few turned out perfect, but I was wondering if there was any way to make them smooth without completely re melting them down I made them into different colored layers . I thought maybe using a hair dryer to melt the top layer and then smooth it. I was wondering if there are any better, more efficient ways to do this?

I am wanting to know if anyone knows where to buy candle making supplies in the bulk for whole sale prices? What kind of wax is the best? How do I get the candles to not cave in? I have even tried pouring a second layer of wax. Last how do I get my scent more potent? The scents they sell in the store seem too dull. I want a strong smell to my candles. Thank you
Candle making at home?? Please help!!!?
Please, if anyone knows how to make candles at home, i am trying to find recipes, and am coming up with nothing....I'm tired of spending soo much money on candles that smell good in the store, and then i burn them for 2 hours and still cant really smell anything.....i would love to make my own candles at home......pick out my own jars, with my own scents, so on and so forth....so please, if anyone has any idea how to make these candles, i dont mind if they're soy or wax based, i would just like it if anyone out there had a recipe i could do at home, and make in my spare time....i think it would be a great stress reliever, and i would save so much money. Thank you so much in advance
